First off, a little about me. My name is Kelsie Weeks. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom (yes, I know, a stay-at-home mom with a blog…how original). I have a two year old son, and another little boy on the way. My husband is in the military, so I guess that puts me in the military wife category as well. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing that I have not really used, but at least I got that piece of paper…somewhere. I love to cook, crochet, binge-watch tv series, and eat chocolate cake. This is not my first blog, but hopefully, it’s my most successful attempt at maintaining a blog. My site name is two-fold: 1) my last name is Weeks and 2) it actually takes me weeks to finish anything (#momlife).
I started this blog to have an outlet for my more creative side. I’m pretty fascinated with all things crafty and homemade. From painting to cooking to yarn crafts, and even a little woodwork. I would say that I
waste creatively use quite a bit of time trying out different things. If you can find it on Pinterest, I’ve probably pinned it, bought the supplies, maybe started it, and, quite likely, left if half finished somewhere in my house. With that being said, my husband, while supportive, is not always enthused to my liking when I announce a new project to him. But that is why we have blogs…and mothers…to send pictures of all the neat things we do to maintain our sanity while the two-year-old recharges. My mom is kinda slow with responding to texts, so Hello internet-world!
All kidding aside, I’ve been really working hard at learning new techniques in a few particular crafts, namely crochet right now. I wanted to be able to share some tricks, tips, resources, and maybe someday my own patterns. My goal at this point is just to have fun with this and share what I’ve learned. I will be posting some of my handmade Christmas gifts soon, so keep an eye out.
Happy crafting everyone!
