This past summer, I partnered with Ashley from Edyth Blayn and a whole group of crochet designers to share some beautiful hat and scarf patterns with you each week. Our hope was that by the end of the summer, you’ve had some fun making our patterns AND that you will have a stack of items to donate to people and organizations in your area. As seasons change, it’s even more timely to have some cozy accessories to keep you warm in cool weather and prepare for gifts as holiday season approaches. So whether you’re making for yourself or others, here’s a group of 20 hats and scarves to crochet this season!

About Crochet for a Cause

This round-up of patterns began as a project called Crochet for a Cause. This is the brainchild of Ashley from Edyth Blayn. Her vision was to get people involved in making some extra cold-weather items this summer. Then in turn, to share their handmade creations with their communities. So whether it’s hospital or homeless shelter, you can join us in a crochet-a-long and have a gift to bless your community with when the cooler weather shows up.

Each week there will be two new patterns featured by different designers. The patterns were either a hat or scarf or both! Some are paid patterns while many of them are free! I’ll be sure to note whether its free or paid so you can easily navigate this fun, little gallery of patterns.

And if you’re looking for more hats and scarves to crochet, check out my other free hat patterns here and my scarf patterns here!
